There are some things in business that feel like work.
And then there are the things that feel a little bit like a daydream you somehow get to live inside.
This salon is one of those things for me.
We’re hosting it in New York with my friend Tara, someone I’ve always admired for the way she loves this city—and, more importantly, the people in it.
Tara sees people. She notices things. She finds beauty everywhere. She is, in so many ways, love incarnate.
It’s why Loveweld exists.
It’s why my husband and I have fought tooth and nail to build brick-and-mortar spaces across the country, even when it would have been easier not to.
I believe places matter.
I want to create spaces where people are noticed.
Where beauty and creativity matter.
Where people feel loved.
Where, even if they don’t have language for it, they encounter a little bit of the love of their Creator.
I’ve always been fascinated by the love of the Creator for the creative.
So getting to gather in New York—
a city so dear to my heart—
with a woman who loves it so well, and spend an evening exploring love feels incredibly special.
Maybe that’s what I’ve been trying to do with Loveweld all along.
